IRJE#3

In the book Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone by J.K Rowling in the chapter 10- Hallow´en, Harry Potter was at the table eating at the dinning hall when a package and a letter arrived to him. He read it and didn`t know what McGonagall was talking about, so Ron Weasley explained it to him.

DO NOT OPEN THE PARCEL AT THE TABLE.
It contains your new Nimbus Two Thousand, but I don’t want everybody knowing you’ve got a broomstick or they’ll all want one.
Oliver Wood will meet you tonight on the Quidditch pitch at seven o’clock for your first training session.

I like this quotation of the page 176 because McGonagall gave Harry his first gift, because the Dudley Family never gave one to him; in this part Harry felt loved by someone because of a gift. Also the Quidittch will be a game/sport that Harry would love in the future and will give him a lot of oportunities.

PW#3 how to describe happiness

Some could describe it as a feeling
Or a person Or a friendship
Even a memory
I think is all of this together
Happiness is a feeling that’s hard to explain, It can be found in the simplest of things,
The sun shining on your face as you walk in the rain, A hug from a loved one that makes you feel cared
A smile from a stranger when you’re feeling down, A kind word from a friend when you need it most,
A laugh that comes out of nowhere, that make you feel blessed
A moment of peace in a chaotic world,
A chance to be still and listen to the birds,
A moment of joy in a sea of sorrows, that make you feel heard.
A hug from a pet when you come home, A moment of laughter with a loved one, A moment of joy when you’re all alone,
Those are the moments that make us feel loved.

IRJE #2 Harry Potter

In the book of Harry Potter by J.K Rowling in the page 30  harry potter lived with his aunt and uncle because his parents had passed away, Harry was very unhappy with the Dudleys, they treated him very badly and didn’t love him. Harry didn’t want that home but one day he received a letter that changed everything.

Here in this letter of acceptance to Hogwarts we can see how Mr. Dudley did not want those letters for Harry but this letter is showing and beginning Harry’s new, happy stage and many challenges. He is going to suffer a lot but he is going to start living a live full of magic and new adventures that were never unimaginable, this book is very interesting and I will keep reading it to see what happens.

PR to “Master & Man”

Master & man was a good but somewhat boring story, at first I was a little entertained but as it progressed I got more and more bored, in general I was not bad but not entertaining and that made me get tired of reading it and the language of the story was sometimes difficult to understand as it had co old-fashioned words.

From the beginning I hated Vasili, is a selfish, egoist and aggressive person, but Nikita from the beginning I liked him very well he is respectful and sympathetic even though he had problems with alcohol managed to leave him and that makes me see that he is a strong and determined person, i liked the ending of the story because it was not an ending where everyone survived and that made it realistic, i think that the kind action that Vasili did at the end does not make him change as a person, he is not going to become a better person from one second to the next i feel that he knew he was a bad person and he enjoyed it but deep down he had guilt and since he knew he was going to die he decided that his last action would be kind so that he would not end up being a bad person, I feel like that doesn’t work and that he didn’t really change, he just knew he was going to die anyway.

This story is a realistic story because these are things that could happen even though only dumb people would make many of the actions made in the story it could happen in real life, Vasili reminds me of many people nowadays, selfish and only looking out for themselves, they only care about money and do whatever it takes to have it but when it suits them they change just for an instant.

in conclusions the story is not so bad but I would not read it again and I would not recommend it to friends or family.

 

PW #2 My Summer

My summer was very fun and exciting, I liked it a lot, a few days before leaving school I started to miss school and I went with one of my best friends to Los Cabos, we stayed in a house that was kind of old but it was very fun and we ate very good, coming back from that trip I spent a week in Puebla, I went out with my boyfriend and rested, then I went to Cancun with my parents and my sister to a very nice resort and it was amazing, I ate a lot, I went to Cancun with my parents and my sister, it was amazing, I ate a lot, I was in the slides, in the Arcade, the beach and my dad ended up buying the membership, coming back at times it was boring because I ran out of things to do at home, I was up all night every night, I would stay awake until 4 or 6 in the morning talking to my boyfriend and I started to get dark circles under my eyes and I started to sleep all day, then I started to go to sleep a little earlier for my health and then the summer started to go by very fast, out of nowhere I was already seeing everyone for the last time and that made me cry, I started to feel like I didn’t want to come to Canada and I started to overthink things a lot but I still wanted to do it, I could say goodbye to almost all my friends and that made me happy, my family, my boyfriend and in general I liked the summer because although it wasn’t perfect I had a lot of things to do, I had fun and I was with the people I love, if I could repeat a summer I would probably choose this one.

“You with a view” is a book written by Jessica Joyce that tells the story of Noelle Shepard who is unemployed living with her parents, going through the loss of her grandmother, she discovers some old photos where a mysterious man appears, next to these photos is a love letter Upon seeing this, the girl comes up with the idea of ??recording a tik tok to search and find out who the mysterious man in the photos was, without thinking that that tik tok would go viral in such a short time, because of this she receives a message from Theo Spencer, who claims to be the grandson of the man in the photo however, it turns out that he is her school nemesis. the day my puppy arrived is one of the days I remember the best, my sister and I had been asking my parents for a puppy for months but they did not accept, especially my mom because she said it would get dirty and break things and that we would not take good care of it, one day coming back from school my mom told us she had a surprise for us and arriving home I saw Mica, a puppy hidden behind a box, we took it and it was shaking and it was so small that it could fit in a shoe, that day we did not separate her, we bought her things and tried to take care of her, we tried to buy her things and we tried to take care of her, We took her and she was shaking and she was so small that she could fit in a shoe, that day we did not separate from her, we bought her things and we tried to get her to gain confidence but she still does not love me, now Mica is 5 years old and she has made me and my family very happy.

hi, my name is Ivanna Rivas Ramirez, y was born on México, puebla city, in 2008, i have 2 dogs, rucho and mica, and i have a sister and i have a very good relation with her.

this is my first time on brookes westshore and i came here to improve y english skills,  make new international friends and learn about different cultures, I’m nervous about classes and I miss my family, friends and my boyfriend but I’m also having a good time and I know it will be a unique experience, i like to play de piano, i  start paying the piano since 4 years ago and i also like to play soccer but i am a bad soccer player

to be honest i am not a good reader I get lazy reading sometimes and i get distracted with anything but I try and hope to get better at it, i am going to read new books and put all my effort to really do it.
