So yeah,i learned how to do acrylic nails and it’s super fun to do. still trying to like figure out how to shape and smooth the nail because when i paint polish on it, it’s not that smooth. so i’m probably going to buy those electric nail filer things on amazon. i’m going to be so good. but so fun, i usually do them while watching superstore because i heart Dina Fox. She’s my favourite character and stuff. And mateo obviously. They are the best characters with the best character development. That’s all. Byee

So i have like five or a but more main shows i’m watching. Some of them im rewatching which is the case for most. Top one is Brooklyn 99, and i love this show because it’s so positive and i just love Captain Holt. Top two is Modern family, this show is so nostalgic for me, i used to watch it all the time as a kid when i was in Singapore. Top three is Bojack horseman which i only started watching because someone i liked liked this show so i just had to lol, but now i totally love it. Todd is so me. Top four is Superstore because Dina Fox and stuff. Top five is Hannah Montana because and i don’t know what i mean but it’s so colourful. Byee

PR to Enemy of our People
Me personally, I heavily disliked this play because it was so scattered and felt like it went on forever and ever and ever. like the same problems of the characters and the same people disliking each other came up again and again all, the time. it felt like it was endless. I think it could be better if there was just two or three main problems and not so many switcheroos in sides of people. like stop betraying guys, its not cool. in my personal opinion, Peter stockman did not change at all, because he at the start he wanted to hide the cities problems from the people and at the end he also wanted to do the same. so therefore he is evil. the person I think changed is his brother, Dr stockman because he was quite quiet at the first band really did not speak up for himself and at the end he was getting into arguments and defending his honour even though he lost many friends.,
PR to Our Town
Me personally, I enjoyed this play because I understood it better than other books because the movie helped me understand what it was about and also helped me perceive what the characters looked and sounded like. For the parts when I missed class and read it on my own, it was extremely hard to understand because of all the different dialogue and the narrator. my favourite part was Emily and George growing love because I heart love. my favourite character is George because he is such a big big romantic. examples like when he chose staying at home with Emily over agriculture school. That literally was perfect. Emily was the one who changed throughout their relationship because at first she did not even notice George and did not know that he even existed. and at the end they were happily married. Overall, I liked this play because of the the emotional compartment.
PR Joseph
This has been my favourite thing to read in English other than the rest of the books. The story of Joseph and his Brothers is about their lives and how everything happens for a reason in God’s plan. In the first few verses, it states that Joseph was the favourite child and was hated because he did not have to work and had dreams about how his brothers bow down to him.
And the brother sold him off the slavery which then after a few years he made his way to do different things and ended up saving his family from starving. And if he hadn’t been sold into slavery, his family and himself would have no solution from the famine.

The book I am currently reading is “The Psychology of Criminal behaviour and Violence” The chapter I am currently on is about Mental Disorders. It explains about the main disorders someone can have. The case I am on currently is about a woman, Rene Poole from Richmond, BC. She had bipolar disorder.
She asked bystanders repeatedly if they had seen her ex-husband, removed her clothes, and defecated at the side of the road. She then lay down at the edge of the highway and began to laugh. Witnesses sensed that she did not grasp that she was responsible for causing a very serious accident.
She had done that after she caused a car accident involving two other cars. She was acting this way because of her Disorder but also because she had not been taking her medication leading up to this event.
Master and Man: To Change, or Not to Change
This story that we read is about two characters, Vasili and Nikita, the Master and Man. Vasili is the “Master” and Nikita is the “Man”, supposedly. I think out was a very good story, it gives perspective of two different type of people. A narcissistic man who only cared about himself and an alcoholic who only cared about other people. For example how Vasili did not care or acknowledge Nikita’s feelings or thoughts, but at the same time; Vasili was willing to sacrifice his own life for him to live.
It shows that Vasili is a good person deep down or not, but he has trouble expressing it; or maybe he was just in shock in the situation. I think this story is quite realistic in most parts, especially the personalities of the characters and the setting the story was in. I think Nikita sounds like a very sweet and loyal man, even tho he’s a pushover; he has many good traits, he’s loyal, respectful and does what he’s told. Although Vasili comes off as a very negative, bossy persona, I feel he’s misunderstood.

I love my phone case, like at first it was just a clear one with green edges but now it looks so cool. I added like candy wrappers flattened out on the inside and my yellow card. Like you know the yellow card from the gym thing we went on for PHE. and I also added my fortunes that the cookies gave me. Actually why are they even called cookies, it’s not the right shape or genre, like its kind of savoury. I also added little stickers that I got from trick or treating. omg and I also got vampire teeth for free, their red tho so idk how I feel about that lol. The candy wrappers I have on it is the Icebreakers one, cherry and strawberry I think and I think the other on is a gum wrapper. Y’all I ate so much candy, I can never eat candy again. I only got five different types, its all M&Ms, Maynard, coffee crisps, twin and aero, like get real guys. Also I went to this one house which was too scary, the guy was dressed as a clown and he shouted at me and I ran away. and he legit started laughing at me. Byee

The book I am currently reading is “The Psychology of Criminal behaviour and Violence” The chapter I am currently on is about Genetics and Evolution. It explains how there is a part of DNA that could influence to make it more likely for the child to be involved in criminal behaviour.
“Although he was raised by a loving family, Jeffrey Landrigan lived a life of crime, just as his biological father had. Landrigan’s case raises questions about the role of genetics in criminal and violent behaviour.
I think this case study shows that even though someone is raises in loving condition, they still could be a criminal. And that good nuture may minimize but not fully get rid of one’s true self even if it is negative.

So the book I am currently reading is “The Psychology of Criminal behaviour and Violence” and I am on the chapter on Personality. The case I am currently on right now is about a girl who offed many men due to her lack of empathy.
“As a result of these perceptions, she lived in constant fear of being abandoned, abused, and betrayed. The coping strategy that she adopted was to detach herself from her own emotions and those of the people around her.”
The perceptions being mentioned is the lack of a relationship with her parents and the abuse she suffered from her grandparents. I believe she turned out to be a criminal because of the nature of her childhood and the trauma that also played a big part.

So like yesterday was Halloween I think and I went trick or treating with Lilly and Polina and a few of Lilly’s other friends and I got like so much candy, it was totally awesome. I was suppose to be Eric Cartman from a tv show but then I ended up going as a skeleton. Well not like a full skeleton, like normal everyday clothes with skull makeup. Omg and I did my makeup at Lilly’s house after school while watching the show ‘Bojack horseman’. It was cool. And I didn’t even realize I was on the last few episodes, I was like omg noooo. So yesterday was chill, after trick or treating, her dad picked us up and drove us back to her house. Omg wait I forgot, when we were walking to her dad’s car, a couple came up to us and gave us a huge bag of candy because there were no more trick or treaters left so we had so much, we split it of course. By the time her dad drove us back, my mom had arrived to pick me up. And y’all Lilly gave me a green beanie like yay. So yeah that was how my day went yesterday. Byee

Heyy My name is Ely, short for Elyana. I moved to Victoria 2 years ago and was a Brookes Westshore student since then. I was born in Singapore on 15th May 2009. My main interest is art, more specifically not abstract art, literally any other art form. i tried to apply to McDonalds but I couldn’t work in the end because I don’t have a work permit.
I like reading comics and biographies the most and i’m not really interested in other book genres. I’ m currently reading “The Definitive book of Body Language” by Allan and Barbara Pease. Other than that i’m not too I interested in reading but I do not mind it at all. The book is about how to read peoples emotions and how to accurately communicate with them.
I prefer writing over reading because it doesn’t bore me and I can really express my feelings over paper. I would like to improve my writing skills over the year because I enjoy writing and would like to accurately acquire knowledge about how to do it right. I think in English, writing and teamwork are my strongest learning abilities.
