Somewhere I go very often is about 3 hours away from Victoria called Mount Washington, it is a place to ski. Mount Washington is actually in a provincial park called Strathcona Park, because it is a provincial park it is maintained very well all year. I go to Mount Washington every weekend in the winter months because my brother and I are ski racers. We go there to train and because we enjoy it. I really like going there because I get to walk around the mountain after training with my friends and my dog. We have been going to Mount Washington for about 7 years now, so we know a lot of people up there and all the trails which makes it even more fun because I get to explore with my friends who haven’t been there. I really like watching the sunsets and sunrises on the mountain, when the sun comes up in the morning it is beautiful. Another thing I really like about being at the mountain is the little cafe at the bottom, I go there all the time after training to hang out with people and get warm. It’s not a very big mountain but I think it makes it feel more connected and peaceful.
