I liked the movie I enjoyed it, and I thought that it was an interesting well constructed movie. I would say that I found it nice to watch the movie before the book because I feel that now when we go to read the rest of the play it will make more sense and you will be able to understand it better. After starting and finishing the movie I was surprised with how much action there was, since I have only heard of the play I had thought that it was going to be more like a full romance instead of the action romantic style. I found it surprising that after Mercutio dies, then Romeo fought Tybalt and I had thought that Tybalt was going to kill Romeo not the other way around and I thought that this was surprising. Also when Mercutio is slowly dying it was funny how his friends are just laughing at him while he’s dying and they all think that he’s just messing around and joking. In my opinion I would say that who ever decided how the nurse looked has no taste but however I did find the nurse funny. In the movie i found it very very interesting that everyone gets married so young, like if you were to compare it to the time now you cant do that it just wont happen. I think that the youngest one could get married is like 17 with parent permission and thats still way too young in my opinion. In the movie I like the point when Romeos father sent mail to him and Romeo just ended up riding right past the man and his donkey that was going to give the mail to his place. But to be honest if my wife had died id do the same and I wouldn’t stop to check my mail on my way out, like id be gone.
