Last night I had a basketball game against champions for u18. The game was at 8:30 pm so I had a good amount of time to prepare and get ready. Before the game I had school basketball practice for the grade 9 to 10 team at 5:00 to 7:00 so I was already warm and a little bit sore but I was fine because I had already played 2 games right after basketball practice in the last 2 week and I preformed great in both of those games. Anyways right after I finished school practice, I headed right for the gym that my game was going to be at. I got there pretty early at around 7:30 pm and no one was here yet, so I just did some stretching and waited for the rest of my team to get there. After 20 minutes my team and the other team had arrived at the gym, so me and my team went to go warm up by shooting around for a while. After A while of shooting around we were called to our bench and after a quick talk with our coach the game started. The game started of neutral. The other team took a two-point lead by around 5 minutes into the game. We had around 8 with me having 6 points. As the game continued, the other team expanded their lead by scoring 2 threes in a row. We were still behind a few points, but we were catching up. With around 1 minute left in the 1st half the score was 21 to 19 with us behind. So, we were able to catch up. As the score board rang, the first half ended. After a few minutes of rest the second half had started. The half started bad for us for some reason this one player on our team could not guard or box out his man. Around halfway through the second half we ended up being down by 11. Also, one of my teammates who was our best player was doing really badly with him, averaging around 20 to 30 points a game and right now he only has 7. We tried to catch up but we were sadly not able to catch as the score board rang and the game ended. The final score was 56 to 41. For me I only had 21 points, and I also had missed a few shots, so I did do kind of bad but not terrible. So, after the game ended, I packed my stuff up and went home.
