So one poem i stood thinking about when we where in this unit was mostly the introduction to poetry by billy collins because it felt more relatable than a lot of the other poems we read i liked from this how the poet talks about people trying too hard to figure out the “correct” meaning of poetry instead of just feeling it first. The part about tying the poem to a chair and torturing a confession put of it was kinda funny for me because it sound so exaggerated , but at the same time its kind of true because a lot of people overthink poetry so much that it stops being enjoyable.
Also another poem that i remember was about a terrorist is watching by wislawa szymborska , what made this poem interesting was the way it builds suspense i knew something bad was going to happen. I also liked how the poem focuses on normal people doing regular things before the explosion because it makes everything feel more real and uncomfortable
All this poems of this unit were really different from each other, but his two i mentioned made me actually interested. One uses humor and the other uses tension , and i think that why they were more memorable to me than some of the other poems.
