I loved watching Rome and Juliet I have always wanted to watch and learn about Rome and Juliet. I loved so many things about it the first one being the language I thought that the words and poetry that was used is so beautiful and empowering each line is filled with such love and emotion. I loved how it’s an old film that is in the setting of a town with leaders and every thing is very old fashioned with horses swords and the way they dress. I felt like the acting was pretty good as-well and the actors were great Juliet was very beautiful and did a great job playing her role. I find the story fascinating with the whole idea Juliet is forced to marry a man she doesn’t love and how she finds her love Rome and chooses to die then marry another man it shows how strong her love for Rome is and really shows the power of love. The length of the film was perfect to me not to long not to short and everything flowed so well together it has a very clear and understandable story with nice detail. This story really makes me think about romance and the idea to love with passion. Throughout watching this film I have gotten a lot more interested in to poetry myself and this has helped understand the meaning of poetry a lot better. Overall Rome and Juliet was great I give it a eight out of ten and I believe this has been my favourite unit so far and topic we have learned as I am very interested and keen to learn more about it and learn more about poetry as well as improve my poetic skills. Maybe one day I will be as romantic as Rome is.
