Now I am reading Stargirl by jerry Spinelli. The book is about Leo Borlock and it is about a a new student that is very mysterious named Stargirl. The first day when Stargirl entered the school she quickly became known because she behaved very strangely. She is kind, creative, and doesn’t care about what the people think of her. Some students don’t like how she acts and begins to judge her.
“She was bendable light: she shone around every corner of my day.”(p.113)
I chose this quote because I think is describes Stargirl how she is in a really creativ way. Leo compares her to the light that shows that she brings happines and positivity into his life. The quote explains how here presence makes Leo’s day much better. I also like this quote because it shows how different Stargirl is. She stands out from the others and how important she becomes to Leo. It makes the reader see how powerful a personality can be on another person’s day.
