This quotation takes place when the main characters sister is about to take her girlfriend to Faerie which is the magical land where the main character Jude, and her twin sister live. They are going there for a wedding but Judes sisters girlfriend doesn’t know that any of this is real yet so this takes place when they tell her that it is.
Behind me, I can hear Vivi start to explain. “Faerie is real. Magic is real. See? I’m not human, and neither is my brother. And we’re going to take you away to a magic island for the whole week. Don’t be afraid. We’re not the scary ones.”
I picked this quotation because I found the way that she says this very dull and to the point. Which I found funny. This quotation is from page 167 of the book.
