Making a list of 5 things I like because I have nothing to write about and I like making lists.

  1. Books, specifically older classics that have delicate pages and old beautiful artworks on the covers. I love reading with my whole heart, and I’m happy that since I have started at Brookes I have been able to really regain my ability to read for longer and analyze what books are communicating in their final message.
  2. Hiking. I love grabbing my backpack after school or on the weekends and heading out to the mountains with my friends or my family. My favourite hikes are ones that end on a beach, or maybe through meadows.
  3. Cleaning. This is a bit of a weirder hobby but doing the dishes with my headphones or vacuuming my room on the weekends makes me feel like I’m resetting my spaces, which in turn makes me feel happy that those spaces get a refresh.
  4. Writing. I absolutely love working on word doc or in my journal and writing down stories that pop into my head. Most of the time they sit unfinished for months, but some of them I keep stapled together in my desk, which I read for boredom sometimes. recently, I have been working on my own version of The Traveling Pants (absolutely fantastic series, I highly recommend it) and another piece on a social workers stuffed animal that comes to life and does superhero stuff. (which has been a very interesting project).
  5. Fashion design. If you know me relatively well, you probably have noticed I like to add special touches to outfits. At school I love adding little bows, jackets or special hairstyles to express my self, which can create conversation opportunities with people I have noticed. I also enjoy sketching fashion design in my sketchbook, and I really enjoy experimenting with different fabrics at home and sewing to create different styles.

That’s it.
