Hello, my name is Said Ali el Hajj, I’m from São Paulo, Brazil, and my birthday is on January 18. I’m 15 years old and interested in sports such as volleyball, hockey, swimming, and figure skating. When I was a child, I used to play soccer, and I also played the violin for a year, which I would like to continue learning in the future. About my family, I have one sister and my parents, whom I love more than anything, as well as five cats — Snow, Bella, Panda, Abraxus, and Freud (I wasn’t the one who chose the fourth name) — and two dogs named Mufasa and Sarabi, whose names were inspired by The Lion King movies, my mom’s favorite. I really love the winter, but I don’t completely dislike summer; I enjoy sunny days, but I hate when it’s extremely hot and makes you feel sweaty and exhausted. My favorite food is temaki, a Brazilian version of Japanese sushi, and I love trying new foods and drinks at restaurants, although I can be a bit picky with dishes I’m not used to eating. I also enjoy visiting beautiful places, whether traveling to new countries, discovering restaurants, or exploring landscapes full of nature. I’m passionate about science, especially biology, and I want to learn as much as possible about how the human body works and its internal processes. My favorite movie genre is horror, especially those with lots of jumpscares, and in the future I would love to visit many countries in Europe and Asia, as well as explore more of the beautiful places I haven’t yet discovered here in Canada.
