PW#2- My favourite movies

One of my favourite movies is called “Dazed and Confused”. It was set in 1976, but created in 1993. I watched this movie in 2023 and have loved it since. Dazed and Confused follows a group of high school students on the last day of school in May 1976. The story doesn’t have a single main plot; instead, it shows the experiences of different teens as they celebrate the start of summer, deal with peer pressure, and try to figure out who they are. The movie focuses on several characters, including Randall “Pink” Floyd, who is a popular football player who’s unsure if he wants to follow his coach’s strict rules, and Mitch Kramer, a freshman who gets hazed by upperclassmen but later joins the older crowd for a night of parties and freedom. The movie is essentially just about what it was like to be a teenager in the late 70s. Which is basically my dream.

I also like “The Black Phone. It’s a horror movie, and I usually strongly dislike horror movies, but I don’t find this movie scary, more sad if anything. The Black Phone is about a 13-year-old boy named Finney who is taken by a man called The Grabber. The Grabber locks him in a dark basement with only a broken black phone on the wall. Even though the phone isn’t connected, Finney starts getting calls from the ghosts of other kids who were also taken. They give him tips on how to escape. Finney’s sister, Gwen, has dreams that help her find clues about where he is. With the help of the ghost kids and his sister, Finney finds the courage to fight The Grabber and escape safely.
