For Valentines, Brookes organized a ski trip to Whistler. For this trip, almost none of my friends signed up, but my roommate and my best friend were going, so that’s why I decided to go. Honestly I’m not very good at skiing because I’ve only skied three times in my life, but on this trip I wanted to go with a good attitude and try to be able to go down a green run well and even try a blue run even if it was challenging. We start the trip traveling by bus and ferry on February 11, it was a horrible trip because we were sitting for a very long time, but we knew it would be worth it. We arrived in Whistler at 9 pm and organized our things for the next day because we had our ski lesson and we need to wake up early for a very long ski day. I took a shower and went to sleep so I could go to my lesson the next morning. Honestly, I didn’t love the lesson because I felt like they treated us like kids, but I knew it would be worth since they were teaching us how to ski properly so we wouldn’t make as many mistakes. After the lesson, I went to take dinner with all my friends at Milestones that is one of my favorite restaurants in Canada and then we went shopping around Whistler. The next two days were full ski days, and they were the best two days of the trip. I loved the feeling of skiing and I didn’t fall much, so I enjoyed it a lot. It snowed a lot and I was able to ski well. The last day Anna, Alessia, and I decided to wake up late and make a shopping day instead of skiing because we were to tires to ski again. We had lunch at a really nice place and enjoy our last day on Whistler. In conclusion it was a trip I will never forget, it helped me learn how to ski and overcome my fears. Now skiing become one of my favorite sports, and it was one of the best trips I’ve had this year.
