The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson follows a teenage girl whose mother disappeared mysteriously years ago. The girl is named Bel and her mother is Rachel Price. It is a true crime novel and follows Bel as the family gets interviewed for a documentary about her mother. This quotation is said during the filming of part of the documentary.

“The name Rachel Price is almost synonymous with mystery. Because her disappearance was like a puzzle, and it’s human nature to want to solve a puzzle, don’t you think?”

At this point in the book Rachel has been missing for years and her case is very known and discussed. The quotation is said by a person in the media to the documentary team because people are interested in the case not just because of the tragedy but because of the unsolved mystery part. This is a good foreshadowing quotation because Rachel’s case continues to be questioned and she reappears making a shock to the case.
