I’ll start from the beginning. A random day, my tummy hurt a lot, and the pain was a different kind of pain that I had never had in my life. I told my mother, so we went to the doctor, and they did many tests to see why my tummy hurt so much. They figured out that the pain was because I was eating gluten, and that I’m not just intolerant to gluten. I’m allergic to it, so I’m celiac.People think it is easy to live with it, and they say, “You just can’t eat wheat, that’s it,” but they don’t know that many products have wheat in them. An example is yogurt or seasonings, and there are so many more products where you wouldn’t think they contain gluten.I can’t just go eat something normal in a restaurant, because there are many restaurants that don’t have gluten-free options. In some restaurants, they don’t even know what it is. That happened to me a lot of times in Mexico they didn’t even know what wheat is. They also have a really small variety of gluten-free products in the supermarket, and the only options they have aren’t very tasty. So, in conclusion, it isn’t easy to live with celiac.
