In the novel “Good Girl’s Guide to Murderer” written by Holly Jackson, Pip’s critical personalities shows before interviewing Stanley Forbes, a journalist who is severely convinced that Sal killed Andie.
He covered a lot of the Andie Bell case in the local press and was even present at the court hearing when she was declared dead a year and a half later. To be honest I think he’s a poor journalist, and I’m pretty sure the Singhs could sue him for defamation and libel about a dozen times over.

This segment in the book shows how Pip resents Stanley, rooting her awareness of his unfair view towards Stanley. She dislikes how he mixes his opinion with true facts, making Sal look like a ‘monster’, or so he is called. Her reaction also prove how determined she is to uncover the truth behind Andie’s disappearance, not opinion based, which is a key trade she carries later on.
