pw#2 the tale of timbertimmy

Once upon a time, there was this boy called timbertimmy, at the age of 2 he fell into a sewer and broke his legs, as he cried he saw something rising from the water and its was Fredrick Fazbearington (Freddy fazbear)

Fredrick Fazbearington began to chase him, and despite having broken legs timbertimmy was just that guy so he levitated away, he saw some sand under the table and threw it at fredrick fazbearingtons eyes, but timbertimmy is an idiot fazbearington was a robot, why would that work? Well as I mentioned, timbertimmy is just that guy so the sand ends up dismembering fredrick fazbearington, as timbertimmy levitates through the sewers, he finds various things from dark fountains to old turtles drop kicking godly titles,

and then, the one and only arrives PIKACHU!!!

timbertimmy is ecstatic, he quickly rushes to pet it, pikachu is his FAVORITE, he is so glad to see it, however he wakes up the next day to have rabies as the ”pikachu” was just a rat with rabies and a skin infection, and this time timbertimmy is just not that guy anymore so he tries to levitate but rabies is rabies so he falls out of bed and dies. the end

Me adapting to Canada and Missing Mexico

Since I left Mexico I have been trying to understand how everything works here in Canada, I like almost everything but all the people, places, habits, etc that I left because of moving to Canada is being very hard. I know that being here in an international school meant leave temporary my country and all the things in it. But not everything is bad, I also see all the positive aspects from Canada that I don’t have in Mexico. That means that I can learn how to adapt to the different traditions, places, people, language, etc from a new country. In general I miss Mexico a lot but I am also happy because all the things I know that I will learn here in Canada. The last thing that makes me happy about being here is that I know that when I come back to Mexico I will be a different person with new experiences.

I think thats it for now 🙂

pw #2 if i had 3 wishes

If i had three wishes id first of all wish for a note book where it has and infinite amount of pages of which anything I write in them comes true, this allows me to inadvertently bypass the I wish for more wishes rule. For my second wish id wish for the ability to warp space and time around me at will this would entail the ability to time travel and teleport by bending space, somewhat like making a wormhole that i can go though to bring me anywhere any time no matter when or where it may be. For my third and final wish i would wish for all the pollution on our planet to be erased and for there to be a factory of sorts the can degrade and transform any and all types of matter into what we need in our world, it would not allow people the create weaponry but only make things that can help improve and further our abilities as the human race. So there you have it if i had three wishes i would wish for a notebook that anything written in it will come true, the ability to warp space and time at will and finally a machine that can transform matter into anything.

PW #2 – My Lunch Disaster

At lunch the other day, I was just trying to make it to my table without dropping anything. I had a full tray stacked with a burger, pizza and some chocolate milk, and I was weaving through these smelly teenagers like it was an obstacle course. Out of nowhere, I heard barking. At first, I thought it was someone’s phone, but then I saw her, my dog, LeBron, sprinting across the cafeteria like he owned the school.

Before I could react, he came charging straight at me. In that split-second I had two choice: drop the tray or get tackled. As you may have guessed, both happened. The pizza flew onto someone’s backpack, the condiments from the burger stained everyone near me, and my milk exploded in my face. The whole cafeteria froze for a second, and then everyone burst out laughing. Lebron sat proudly in a puddle of milk with my pizza dangling from his mouth.

PW#2 Second soccer game

This weekend me and my team had our second game of the season. This week we played a team that was 2 years older. The game was surprisingly a tight game. In the first minutes of the game the other team hit the post. This was kind of a wake up call that it was going to be a tough game. About 10 to 15 minutes later they scored the first goal. After a couple minutes my team got a free kick from about 40 yards out. My teammate hit a wonder shot that curled inside the top right corner. It was just a beauty. Unfortunately, our opponents took the lead again with a great goal from outside the box. But our team did not give up and we re-equalized from a corner kick. Then halftime came. it was 2-2 and a very tight game. When the second half started my team was dominating the game. But our opponents were bigger and stronger and managed to score a goal on us. After a while, the other team manned to score a 4th goal. The score was then 4-2 for the opposition. Our team still did not give up. We went on to score a third goal. Unfortunately we were unable to score an equalizer. The final score was 4-3 for the other team.

PW #2- Palm Springs

My favourite place in the world is my grandparents house in Palm Springs, California! Every spring break, my parents, cousin and I go to Palm Springs for a week, and we always have the best time enjoying the weather, swimming in the pool and being together as a family!

My grandparents house in Palm Springs is what makes the trip, I have so many happy memories in the house. The house has a small putting green and a pool, it is even on a man-made lake where we go for boat rides everyday!

I also love what we do to pass the time when we are in Palm Springs, every time we go we go to this place called Old Town. In Old Town there are a lot of shops, our favourites being the ice cream place and the restaurant that we always go to get pizza! My whole family and I love Old Town and is always a must to go. Everyday we also go for boat drives on the man made lake that the house is on, during these boat rides we all create memories all of us will remember.

Lastly, my overall favourite thing about Palm Springs is seeing my grandparents. For 6 months of the year they are in Palm Springs, so when we get to see them it has been awhile. They make Palm Springs special for my family and I, and I am forever grateful that we are able to have such a great place to go and a great family to spend the place with.

pw #2 understanding failure

Why do a lot of people fail? Understanding the question itself is difficult, we must realize the answer shall change over the course of time, as your opinion changes. Failure is a natural thing. No one has tried something new, and not made a mistake. The failures that people make shape the way to success right? I would agree with that in theory, but I would also argue that repetitive failure will never help you succeed. To fail over and over again, mindlessly repeating a process, is not the quest to success. The true path to success is realizing the mistake you made. Maybe it was an airball in basketball, or maybe it was procrastination to do homework, but you need to see that mistake and fix it Trying half-heartedly to fix something is never enough. You must also understand that leaning on others, and sharing some of that burden is okay. There will be many times, in your life when you have to work with others, and you have to share the workload. The worst thing to do when these times happen, is to let someone else do all the work. If your team succeeds but you did not contribute you have failed in the worst way possible, you have failed yourself. My opinion at the moment, is that many people fail due to a lack of effort. The people that do the bare minimum or nothing at all, have truly failed themselves and I believe they make up the majority of people who fail. I implore anyone who reads this to ask themselves what their opinion on why many people fail. They might be surprised by the answer they come up with.

PW #2 – The Spectacularly Terrible Talent Show

On the day of the talent show at Coral Academy, Banana walks in to find the backstage was utter chaos. There were clothes thrown everywhere and people running around frantically. Banana goes up to their drama teacher, Ms. Clementine, and asked her what was happening. Ms. Clementine looked as if she was about to cry.

“Oh, Banana, it’s terrible! First, the pair of Pears from the tech group called in sick today, and they were the only people who knew all the riggings for the curtains! Then, Apple, being the tart one she is, provoked our makeup artist Peach by saying that nobody a-peach-iates her skills, and now Peach has locked herself in the costume room, so now we have no makeup artist, no curtains, and no costumes!”

Banana tried to reassure Ms. Clementine. “I’m sure it will be alright—” “Ms. Clementine,” Lemon interrupted, “me and Banana will fix this.” And so they got to work. First, Banana called the Pears to find a way to rig the curtain in an easier way. Meanwhile, Lemon confronted Apple.

“You need to apologize to Peach this instant!” he yelled. Apple scoffed. “Why should I? She’s way too sensitive.” “Because,” Lemon snapped, “without her, everyone’s going on stage looking like a fruit basket from the discount aisle!” That shut Apple up. She huffed, stomped over to the costume room, and knocked. “Peach, I am sorry, I didn’t mean it.” A small, muffled voice answered from inside. “Are you sure?” Apple rolled her eyes but continued. “Yes. You’re the only one who makes me look ready. Please come out.” The door creaked open, and Peach emerged, makeup brushes in hand, cheeks blushing brighter than her name. Meanwhile, Banana had the Pears on speakerphone.

“So you loop the rope twice, tie it like you’re tying shoelaces, and pull hard, right?” “That’s it!” one of the Pears crackled through the phone. Banana and Lemon followed the instructions, and in minutes, the curtain hung perfectly. When Ms. Clementine returned, her eyes filled with relief. The chaos gave way to harmony—makeup stations buzzed, costumes flew onto hangers, and the curtain stood tall and ready. The Coral Academy Talent Show was back on track.

PW 2: It was all a dream…

There once was a boy named Benny. Benny was a curious little boy of 12. One gentle summer night, he went to bed like usual in his fluffy, warm bed. He woke up the next morning feeling extremely sick—unusually so. Though, despite his protests, his mom made him leave bed to go to school. When he stepped outside, he was met with waist-high snow everywhere! Why was it snowing in summer? Nobody knows. Benny struggled through the snow for what felt like hours in the direction of his school, but always found himself turning into and out of the same corner, even though he was walking his usual path… odd. He looked up, the sun was red. What was going on? He suddenly found himself in front of his school doors, being scolded by the principal and… his mom? He stepped into class and nobody and nothing was in the room, aside from a singular desk in the middle. When he sat, the room went dark. He could hardly see in front of him. He heard movement around the room, multiple sets of footsteps circling him. Then, hands emerged from the darkness—large, claw-looking, black and charred. Then the red eyes appeared. It looked like the hands couldn’t quite reach him, however fingertips occasionally brushed against his arms, sending shivers down his already cold yet fever-heated spine. Odd, siren-like sounds started coming from the corners of the room. Benny was hyperventilating.

The next moment, he woke up in his bed again, breathing hard and covered in a layer of cold sweat, his hands clenched onto the bedsheets. He took a deep breath and looked out his window. It had all been a dream… thank God… but the sun. It was still red. Is he really awake now?

Or is this the dream?

PW #2

“If you had three wishes, what would you use them for … and what might go wrong?”  I think the obvious first wish would be for 1 billion dollars, which is reasonable because I’d be set for life, and the next generation and perhaps the one after that. There are both pros and cons, the pros are helping others, donating to charity, dabbling in fast cars, flashy clothes, vacations whenever, wherever, and maybe a set of bodyguards. But one of the cons is related to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service). If they treat this wish money as income, they would tax it at their highest rate which is 37%, that could wipe out $400m easily, and plus an unexplained billion dollars would put up every red flag on the board. So it’s good and bad. Before I get into my second wish I’d like to point out a popular wish which seems good but is actually horrible, and that wish is immortality. Not only would you watch all your friends and family get old and die, but you would outlive the whole earth, the solar system, and witness the sun explode. My second wish would to be able to teleport. With the ability you would never have to drive a car, you would never be late ever again, you would save so much money like from flights, vacations, and you would get the golden buzzer on America’s Got Talent. Also, if a family member got into a car accident, or needed help you could instantly be there to assist. My third and final wish would be to see the future. Not just from now to 100 years, because that would spoil everything, but you get to choose what you wanna see. For instance if you’re sports betting, you could bet how ever much money you wanted and it would always be right. Same goes for gambling, bets with friends, investing large amounts of money or none into stock, and more. Also you could prevent bad things like stopping someone from getting into a flight that goes in the ocean. And I didn’t pick time travel because the smallest change could alter generations, and even cause eternal chaos.

PW #1 (summer vacations)

This summer vacations I took a cruise on Europa where I visited a lot of countries and cities. First of all before the cruise I spent a week in Paris where I learned a lot about the culture and the people, I loved Paris. After that me and my family arrived to the cruise and started to adapt and start to enjoy. The next day that was when the cruise arrived to the first place me and my family got out of the cruise and started walking around the 1st stop, we got to know the whole place and every historical places we could. We did that in all the stops. We had an incredible vacations that me and my family enjoyed a lot.

PW #1 the art of accountability

During the course of my life, I have met many people, witnessed many mistakes, made by others, and myself. It is through these mistakes we humans evolve, learn, and reach new heights of knowledge. However, I have noticed the opposite to be true. I have seen many people make mistakes, and blame it upon their circumstances. Instead of using the opportunity to grow, they delude themselves, with the thought that it was not their action that created the mistake. A failure is only truly a failure, if you refuse to accept that you made a mistake along the way, and grow from it. People who do not accept accountability for their actions, will never unlock their full potential and simply remain the same. Unwilling to see their faults only focusing on the achievements not on the mistakes it took to achieve that success. In the long run people who only focus on the victories will fail, more than succeed. I believe that the strongest person is not the person who has the biggest muscles, or is the most intelligent, but the man that accepts accountability for their actions, and understands how it impacts themselves and others. Learning to take accountability will push people out of their comfort zone, making them confront thoughts of the people they have hurt, the times they have Let others fail, due to their lack of effort, or did not take action at the right moment. Taking accountability also leads people to see the victories overlooked. To truly grow as a human is to understand one’s mistakes, take accountability for actions, and look at the mistakes others have made. The art of accountability is to understand that to achieve victory you must look at every failure made along the way and study them learning how to minimize them and use that experience to shape the way to success.

PW #1 summer backpacking trip

During my summer camp, I have to go on a backpacking trip with a bunch of other people my age for three days in a random campsite. this year, the consolers desided to take us to a new site that the camp didn’t check. On the first day, we had to wake up at 4am and drive from 6am to 11am on a school bus to the location. We all hiked up the mountain for about 5 hours until we reached the campsite and we were dead tired. we went to sleep and woke up in the morning surrounded by mosquitos. One girl got so many mosquito bites on her face that she was almost unrecognizable. after we ate breakfast, we went on a day hike and got to this crazy view a frozen lake with snow. when we went back down, a guy’s shoe fell apart and he had to switch with a counsler, who walked down the mountain barefoot like it’s the most natural thing in the world. we got back to our campsite , ate lunch, and then heard an insane scream. Turns out that our counsler dipped her feet in the lake near our campsite, and got a leech. The next day, we hiked back and I managed to magically trip and face plant on nothing. when we finally got on the bus and were driving back, a counsler realized that she forgot her phone back in the campsite. The end

PW1# my trip to bennett lake

The best thing I’ve done this year is go on a trip to whitehorse in Yukon. I went camping with my friends at Bennett lake we went fishing and boating, we camped in tents for 3 nights. We saw 2 baby moose who were trying to cross the lake. As we explored the lake we decided to hike a trail to a river near the lake, we were half way to the river when we saw a bear it was a black bear that was just crossing the trail. when we got back to the lake me and my friends decided to go swimming in the lake which was very short lived cause the lake was 4 degrees, one of my friends went into shock and we had to drag him out of the water. On our 2nd day we had lake trout for dinner and pasta, we went fishing and shot a shotgun at a old rusty can which was fun. as we left the lake we went into a small town called Car-cross where we went and ate lunch. in Car-cross we went to the worlds smallest dessert and played there for a few hours till the sun begane to set and we headed back to my friends house.

PW#1

Over the past few years, I’ve come to understand that growth doesn’t always come from success or praise—it often comes from the quiet, difficult moments when no one is watching. I used to think that being strong meant pretending everything was fine, but I’ve learned that true strength lies in acknowledging pain and still choosing to move forward. One of the hardest seasons of my life came when I felt completely lost, unsure of who I was or where I was headed. I had just failed at something I had poured my heart into, and for a while, I let that failure define me. But in the midst of that darkness, I started asking myself deeper questions—not just about what I wanted to do, but about who I wanted to be. That shift in perspective changed everything. I began to see setbacks not as roadblocks, but as lessons. I stopped chasing perfection and started embracing progress, even if it was slow. I surrounded myself with people who challenged me to grow, not just comfort me. I started journaling, reflecting, and facing the parts of myself I had tried to avoid. And through that process, I found resilience I didn’t know I had. I still face moments of doubt and fear—everyone does—but now I trust myself more. I know I have the ability to get back up, even when things fall apart. Growth isn’t about reaching some perfect version of myself. It’s about learning, adapting, and showing up again and again, especially when it’s hard. Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come—not because I have everything figured out, but because I kept going when I could’ve given up. That, to me, is what real growth looks like.

(PW #1) School Uniform

While I think the Brookes uniform is better than most, I would like to point out it has many key flaws affecting comfort, practicality, and general visual appeal. Last year, I asked some students from across grades what they thought of the school uniform, and everyone complained about of those three categories. Firstly, the colour and texture of the casual shirts affects both visual appeal and practicality. The bright colour is not only not the best choice for a colour scheme, but also allows sweat stains to show on the shirt. Its texture also retains the sweat and builds up a smell over time, even with washing. The shorts are also a collective dislike, as they’re awkwardly long and fit weird on girls, and there aren’t gender differentiated forms of the shorts. Better colour choices could be black for the shirt, along with the shorts. The could also potentially be a white shirt of a casual design and different texture than the formal white Oxford shirt, just for another choice of something to wear. These, among other complaints, are just some of the problems that could be fixed in the Brookes uniform. One choice of a uniform piece to add for comfort and stylistic expression could be a zip-up style hoodie for the fast removal of the formal jacket and comfort of the hoodie, in colours navy, black, and white. Another choice to support school spirit could be house scarves for winter time to keep students warm, support style, and add comfort to cold days outside. Colours could be white or black mixed with whichever house colour is on the scarf.

PW #1 – the Impossible Homework

Maya looked at her homework in complete confusion. She was sure that this was math homework, but with all the letters and brackets, it could’ve equally been English homework. The teacher had assigned 20 questions but the first question already looked like it required a degree in computer science.

She sharpened her pencil, erased some words, and even managed to break a calculator. The questions got even harder with letter plus letter, fractions in square roots, and even symbols that she swore were in Harry Potter.

By the third hour, she had convinced herself that this was actually a secret test to recruit geniuses into a high-tech spy academy. She started daydreaming about how the math teacher was probably watching her and her class waiting to see who solved it first.

Suddenly, Maya had an idea. Grinning to no one in particular, she picked up her pencil and wrote: impossible questions will give you impossible answers. She then drew a model of a computer being created on only math questions.

The next day, her paper was handed back to her with a red note at the top. It said: Very creative… but still a zero. Maya sighed. Math proved that some things are really impossible!

This story took place last year when we went on a camping trip to camp potlach. It started off normal enough, We took a ferry and then a boat to get to the island. The island had SOO many bugs So they were pretty annoying. We gathered up and they showed us the dining hall, where all the cabins are and the washrooms. Then they assigned us who was in our cabin. In my cabin there was Ayaz, David, Lachlan, Kobe, Finn and Hedi. The trip was normal for now but it gets way worse. Once were one arguing over who gets what bunk we go done to the dining hall were we have hotdogs. Then as we were getting close to bed, We had some free time. We decided to play a prank ( kind of) on Lachlan by not letting him inside our cabin and holding the door closed. Little did we know he would proceed to jump through our window and end up breaking it. So The rest of the trip, We would have a wide open window for bugs to come in and stuff. Now everyone is upset and laughing at the same time. Now here is some context while i continue the story. Ayaz hadn’t packed his bag, his parents had, and they had packed him Axe body spray ( which smells ABSOLUTLY horrendous). At this point everyone was getting ready for bed but of course… Lachlan didn’t exactly let that happen peacefully. He was shining flashlights in everyone’s faces, Jumping out of bed and attacking people. Hanging out of his top bunk Swinging himself everyone, Even shaking the bunks and the whole cabin itself. and it keeps on going like that till he falls asleep then we all do. The next morning, we all go out for breakfast at the dining hall which i think was fruits and eggs and bacon. David and hedi went to the “washroom” mid breakfast and after breakfast they pull me aside. They tell me that they had sprayed Ayaz’s axe body spray all over Lachlan’s bed and pillow making our cabin REEK. And Lachlan’s pillow got so bad we ended up throwing it away. The nights kept getting worse and worse with Lachlan going crazy not letting anyone sleep. We also had activities to do, Like canoeing or kayaking. Sadly i was with Lachlan and he Managed to flip our canoe twice. Now i cant continue the story because Lachlan will get mad but This is basically what happened last camping trip

How i’m gonna become a billionaire

This is how I will become a billionaire, I have two ways i’m going to become a billionaire. My first way is by investing. I’m going to invest early in high growth assets like stocks, realestate, or in company’s as a angel investor. I won’t be like those other dumb billionaires because most of the young billionaires dropped out of school and have no education. But education is very important and will help me build a business by taking classes like business management. My second way I will become a billionaire is by creating my own multi million dollar business. Most young billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg. He created a billion dollar business. When I become a billionaire I will spend my money on supercars and hypercars and on property in different countries. I will also keep on investing to continue growing my money. The property and real estate I buy will be an investment because property is always a good way to make money by investing and flipping it.

PW #1 – If I could instantly learn any skill, what would it be?

If I could instantly learn any skill for academic purposes, I would choose to be able to memorize anything I read, hear or see, to magically have a perfect memory.

Having a perfect memory would make things much easier, I wouldn’t haven’t have to re-read a page in a book, or ask someone what their name is again just because I couldn’t remember the first time. I would also be able to instantly remember topics for tests, learn new languages much faster, and understand more in a shorter amount of time. I would be able to think about things in different ways, instead of worrying about forgetting them and having to remember.

Being able to memorize everything would have some downsides too. I wouldn’t able to forget about every embarrassing or hurtful memory, making it difficult to forget and forgive. This skill would also make your brain feel cluttered in a way, you would always be remembering something, even when you wouldn’t want to.

Though there are downsides, the upsides would be a great deal for school. In school, I feel that I always have to put so much energy into memorizing. Memorizing flashcards, handouts and important information. So, having a perfect memory would take off a lot of stress in school and allow me to have more time, where I could even learn another skill!

“If you found a treasure chest buried in your garden, what would you most like to discover inside?” I would like to find a cryptocurrency wallet that contains 100,000 US dollars worth of Bitcoin invested from February in 2011, which today would be equal to 13,772,595,474.61 USD, which is 13 billion USD if the number is too big to read. There’s an abundance of things you could buy with 1 billion dollars, a full garage of flashy sports cars, a collection of shiny Rolexes, a wardrobe of designer fur coats, exclusive sneakers, Pokemon cards, videogame currency, charity, start a real estate empire, and more. Now imagine 13 of them.  And I’m not saying 1 billion is small, it’s made up of 999 millions, which you could buy 500 lush islands, which are all 1 million dollars, and then spend the other half on a shiny sky scraper. But what if you spent 10 of the 13 billion dollars, which raises a question; What can you buy with 10 billion dollars? If you use it all on one thing, you could buy the Dallas Cowboys NFL team, if you wanna buy two things, you’d be able to buy the Burj Khalifa complex for 5 billion, and a large diamond mine. And finally if you wanted to buy 10 things with 10 billion dollars you could buy one Mona Lisa (roughly) worth 1 billion, the one billion dollar Apple Park in Cupertino, California, one Queen Mary 2, which is a Luxury Ocean Liner worth 1.1 billion, and more. Even if you bought 7 more things with 1 billion, you would still have 3 billion left over, and 1 million isn’t small either. But it really shows just how much stuff you can get with 13 billion, and maybe “money buys happiness” is true.

Why I want to get a computer engineering degree.

I want to get a computer engineering degree because I am fascinated by computer and math. Math is one of my favorite subjects since I was younger, partially because I was a faster learner then my other classmates. Once a topic was taught, I did not need to study. Since then, even though math is one of my favorite subjects I have not studied for a test since (non-required). Computer engineering is also a field of work that pays well, allowing me to live a comfortable life when I grow up. Even thought the degree may be a hard journey, I believe I am able to accomplish it. I also am fascinated by computers, with all the small parts working together to complete one bigger task. I have tried some very early level programming, but not much more then that. Any sort of programming does seem fun though, which I expect there to be at least some in computer engineering. Overall, I intend for a computer engineering degree to be a bit fun of a degree then others and a future of a well paying job and a at least some what enjoyable career.

I used to play basketball and go to the gym purely for progress, gains, and skill training. Every time I went to the gym every sprint every dribble combos I was working on every shot had a goal attached more strength, more speed, more ball control and accuracy . I was focused on improving doing certain amount of reps like a robot it was rewarding but it was never fun and it always felt more like a chore

Now I think about it differently. I still workout and play basketball but now everything about them is satisfying some days the weight feels twice as heavy or my shots can never go in but I always enjoy every moment of them even the struggles they make me feel good in more ways then physical they make me feel free. every time the barbell clanks against the bar or the shot is a perfect swish its so satisfyin

eight lifting and basketball have taught me so many things and they both pair so well together weight lifting helping me in basketball with the power and strength and basketball helping me in the gym with the endurance

Now, whether I’m doing dribble combos down the court or giving all my energy to a  tough set, I do it because it feels good. It isn’t just a means to a end anymore its a big part of who I am and its a great reminder that progress health and fun can all coexist exist with eascother

PW#1: iPhone 17 Series Impressions

The iPhone 17 series was announced yesterday and I have some thoughts. First off, Apple finally added 120hz displays to the base model iPhones which they should have added a long time ago and $400 Android phones have had for years. They also added an anti-reflective display which Samsung had since the S24 Ultra. Secondly, they made a new phone model called the iPhone Air. This is basically just a worse phone than the base model iPhone 17 but more expensive and an objectively worse phone with a small battery, speaker, only one camera, etc. The Pros got a new two-tone design with an aluminum build and a glass rectangle in the middle to allow wireless charging and Magsafe. I honestly really love that since it allows for better conductivity and durability without losing one of the iPhone’s biggest advantages while also reminding me of the HTC One. They also announced the new AirPods Pros 3, which are pretty cool and things no one cares about like the Apple Watch. Overall, this was actually a pretty good launch with some cool upgrades that make a difference, even for someone who uses and prefers Android. While many of these features have been available on Android for a while, and it’s still too early to tell just how big of a difference these things will make, they are still good upgrades if you are using an iPhone.

PW#1 Helldivers 2. A showcase of fictional propaganda

Helldivers 2 is 3rd person co-opertive extraction shooter. In this game thousands upon thousands of players work together to complete missions and liberate planets from enemies. But a major part of the game is the ingame propaganda. In helldivers 2 there is  a version of earth called “Super earth.” It is a praganda filled earth for managed democracy and how people should “Be come a helldiver.” Even though they will be lucky to survive 5 minutes let alone 1 in a mission. The players often play along and if someone says something “Undemocratic” People will make jokes about them getting killed by the goverment for dissenting against Super earth. But I think this game does really good on the dystopian satire where people are nothing more then expendable even if they think they are more. The goverment has used cyborgs for slavery, farmed giant bugs enmasse for fuel, and genocided a race that was peacefully to the point on when they came back they were also genocidal. But the citizens don’t know that. All they know is that Helldivers are saving the galaxy with managed democracy. So in conclusion I think Helldivers 2 is my favorite (And probably the wider comunity of the game.) showcase of fictional propaganda.

PW #1 – The worst field trip ever

I honestly don’t know who decided our class needed to go on a field trip to this camp as a “bonding experience”, but I’m pretty convinced it was designed as terrible punishment. I was picturing a beautiful camp having marshmallows and s’mores by the fire, but instead, we got rain, mosquitoes, and food that tasted like seaweed that was picked right out of the ocean.

The first night, my cabin’s door wouldn’t exactly close properly… and it felt like at that point we might as well just sleep outside. By midnight, a family of spiders, ants, mosquitos and million other things had wandered in like it was their house. Our teachers told us to “embrace nature,” which was easy for them to say, who got to sleep in nice cozy cabin and didn’t have bats infesting their washrooms.

And then came all the activities. Canoeing. Sounds fine right? Yeah no, I could’ve probably canoed in my canoe with the amount of water that got in. It was poring rain and like 0 degrees outside. Everything was wet. And guess what we did next! Kayaking. It got to a point where I wanted to flip someone’s boat, partly because it was freezing, but mostly because I thought I saw a shark. Or at least something with teeth. Honestly, if someone had told me a kid had tried to drown themselves just to escape the camp, I would’ve believed it.

But yes, I guess you could say we “bonded”, but nothing brings people together more than surviving Camp Potlatch… All the real ones will know about Potlatch people.

PW #1 – My Interest in Physiotherapy

For the past couple of years, I have been working with a physiotherapist to help with my bad left leg.  The experience has been highly positive and has given me a direction on what I would like to pursue as a profession. It’s so interesting to me to see how, if you train correctly, it is so easy to bounce back from injuries and build strength. As I have learned, it can be so frustrating when you are healing from injury, and I want to be a part of helping people in their healing journey.  I have learned how vital movement and flexibility can be for people, and as a physiotherapist, I feel that I can make a difference in people’s lives as they regain their ability and confidence after an injury.

Even though I know it will take me a while to study and get the proper training, I feel the effort would be worth it.  My end goal would be to work directly with a major league sports team and help highly trained athletes do what they love the most! Even though that is my ultimate goal, regardless of the setting, I am confident that this career path would enable me to make a positive impact on people’s quality of life.

PW #1 first soccer game of the season

Hi, this weekend I had my first soccer match of the season. This was also my first game with my new team. In this PW I will be describing what happened during the game. So in the first half, me and my team were possessing the ball very well and we were getting a lot of chances. In that half we managed to score 1 goal. That goal came from a free kick that was crossed into the box and one of my teammates was able to get a foot on it and it rolled into the back of the net. At the end of the half we were doing ok but still had some things we could improve on. Our coach gave us multiple pointers on how to dominate the game even more. Once the second half began we were struggling to use the pointers our coach gave us but we got the hang of it after some time. It turns out that the pointer worked extremely well because in that half my team managed to score 9 goals. The pointers worked so well that I even scored. It’s pretty crazy when I score because I don’t normally score goals because my position is midfield. And that’s how we won our game this weekend.

PW #1 Barrett

Hi, everyone this is my first personal writing assignment, my topic for this is going to be inflation and how much I hate it. for those who don’t know what i am talking about, inflation is the rate at which the price basket of goods and services go’s up over a period of time leading to the decrease of the purchasing power of money. inflation is happening all of north america right and it is getting pretty bad, if you been to the grocery store lately you will notice that most ordinary items that used to be cheap are almost double the price, this usually happens when there is more demand then supply leading to increase of everyday items, this is why some items stay cheap and some get expensive it is because there is more demand for the expensive items. inflation can also happen when the production cost of a certain item goes up leading to the store having to pay more to get the item stocked and then you having to pay more because the store needs to make money off it. in other words the value of our money has been slowly decreasing over time for a while now, 20 dollars in 2016 could buy a lot more than 20 dollars today. this is bad because in the future I fear that nobody will be able to afford anything except for the mega rich higher class of society, world leaders and people who are very important to the government. the future is not looking too good but maybe something will be able to turn it around.
