Last week I finally had my first basketball tournament and game in over three months. It was for the tournament called Don Franklin Memorial. My team was put into silver division for that tournament. For our first game we played against Top Talent u16 and it was a really close game. Since being my first game in a while I was really out of shape and rusty which was really annoying. It was the same for my other teammates as well. They all haven’t played a game in a really long time as I was one of the only players who played high school ball. The game was close though although being really rusty and slow I was still able to play decent but it was like my high school performance so it was not that good. I only had around 15 when I should be getting more than double that when I’m at my best. But my teammates were playing good to so that helped us keep the game close. By the end of the game the score was 63 to 65 with us barely winning. For me I ended up with three different injury’s one on my left calf, one right thigh, and one left side of my back. It wasn’t so bad though after about 2 hours of stretching and resting I was able to get the pain down to a minimum but I was unable to go 100% for the second game that was 3 hours away. I was stuck at 80% and unable to jump fully. After eating a salad for lunch I want to my next game which was against Fab 50 which was a really bad team. So I though that we would be able to win even with my injury’s. So i tried to sit off at the start of the game to try not to push myself to hard. Then not even 5 minutes into the game we are losing by 10 and I don’t even know how so my coach was forced to sub me into the game. I was doing good and was making quite a few good shots and me and our best player Sanan Shaw who is one of the best players I know were going crazy making bucket after bucket and because of that we had an 18 point lead. Then Sanan and our other point guard started to cramp bad and were having a really hard time playing. But we were able to get the win with the score being 56 to 57 with me hitting the game winning shot. Then I went home and roasted. Since this personal writing is starting to get pretty long I’m going to make it short. For the third and last game I was doing really good and was on a massive run then one of my teammates started to hog the ball because he wanted to do something and we were getting tired because only 6 players came to our game and we lost.
