Last weekend one of my best friends from Austria, Emma, came to visit me here in Brookes. Seeing her here almost felt like an illusion and it at least took me ten minutes to realize that it’s actually her, here in Canada, just for me. I showed her and her parents the whole school, my room and all the places in Victoria I normally go to. I was so happy to see her here and we were literally talking so much we almost forgot to breathe because it’s really hard to pack three months in three days. Before she came here the thought of leaving Brookes made me really sad but Emma reminded me that there are so many good things waiting for me in Austria so I hope that the goodbye from Canada won’t be too bad. Especially in the last month I thought a lot about how it will be to leave Canada in just a bit more than two months and about how I don’t want to leave, at least not so soon. It makes me sad to realize that I need to all this, what feels like a dream, behind but it also makes me realize how privileged I am and how happy I can be that I can experience all that and how amazing it is that there are so many people I can miss, because that only proofs that I am truly happy here. I am going to try my best to enjoy my so valuable time here and collect a lot of memories that I can forever look back on if I will ever happen to have a bad day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
