The story follows a man named Winston Smith, who lives in a world where Cameras and screens watch everyone all the time, and people are punished for even thinking against the government.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><strong>&#8221;Big brother is watching you the caption beneath it ran. inside the flat fruity voice was reading out a list figures which had <\/strong><b>something to do with the production of pig iron the voice came from a oblong metal plague like a dulled wall. Winston turned a switch and the voice sank somewhat though the words were still distinguishable the tele screen it was called&#8221;p 2.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">This text is referring to a screen on his wall that is watching and listening to his every move and he can not turn it off giving the idea that the government knows everything about you and watches everything you do.The book is quite interesting as well as boring but at the same time really makes you question reality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1984 by George Orwell is about a future world where the government controls everything people do, think, and even remember.
