In general, grade 10 is when school really starts to matter. Since is most if not all other provinces, high school starts in grade 10, BC is just weird about it and they start in grade 9. But, grade 10 is where your grades and schoolwork begin to matter more because you want to get into a good university or college. Not only do grades begin to actually matter in grade 10, the workload and work difficulty gets a huge bump up and it becomes a lot harder to handle. Especially being in an IB program, the work is a lot harder and more difficult. Because not only do you have to balance math, English, science, French, and social studies, we also have other add-on subjects like personal project and social development. I have just found it a bit harder to manage all the work and do it wisely. Time-management really is a skill that is very useful and something you really do need to master.
